“After experiencing real problems with local cats coming into the house and eating my cat’s food, I tried magnetic and infra-red cat flaps, neither of which were especially effective as my cat kept losing her collar. It is reliable; it allows our cat entry everytime with no problems, and has been robust enough to resist the efforts of rogue cats. It has a scanner on the outside which reads the cat’s microchip, unlocks the cat flap and locks it again after a set time. The time that the flap remains unlocked can be adjusted upto about 20 seconds, which has been great as my cat is often quite slow to come in. Although it is expensive I have been really impressed with the Pet Porte and it has been the solution to all my problems!”
